By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A Millis native and resident of Needham was arraigned at his hospital bed at Milford Regional Medical Center yesterday in connection with the stabbing death of his live-in girlfriend, a Holliston native, and the stabbing of his parents from Millis, who are recovering from their wounds. 24-year old Benjamin Walsh is charged with the murder of 20-year old Olivia Bergstrom, who was stabbed about 20-times in the couple’s Needham apartment Saturday night. Walsh is also charged with two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest in connection with stabbing of his parents at a family birthday party at the Primavera Restaurant in Millis, also on Saturday night. A not guilty plea was entered on Walsh's behalf yesterday. Bail has been set at 500-thousand dollars. Family and friends say Walsh was struggling with mental illness just days before checking himself out of McLean Hospital in Belmont, which is well known for diagnosing and helping those with mental illness and providing treatment.
